Boys & Girls Club of Wooster
Our Vision combines the resources of our local school systems, business and community leaders to provide a Club experience that assures our youth graduate from high school with a plan for the future that incorporates a healthy lifestyle, good character, financial literacy and engaged citizenship.
“Club has been amazing! As a single working mom, I balance a lot. The Club really helps”!
Each year, one exceptional Club member is selected to be our Youth of the Year, serving as an ambassador for Boys & Girls Club of Wooster youth as well as a voice for all of our Clubs’s young people.
In addition to recognizing the leadership achievements of high school Club youth, our younger Club members receive the Jim Robertson Outstanding Youth. This award cultivates their leadership potential, providing the foundation they need for advanced leadership development, academic excellence and postsecondary success. Through this program, Club youth become motivated to seek opportunities for leadership and to act as responsible citizens and change agents.
Award winners from each Club and their families will be presented their award during the event and will have an opportunity to say a few words.
Whatever It Takes to Build Great Futures
Our annual fundraising dinner event, Make A Difference, raises critical funding to support BGCW’s mission. Complete with happy hour, silent & live auctions, games, music, VIP main event dinner and program, Make A Difference is responsible for 10-20% of our annual budget enabling us to serve the kids and families who need us most in our community.
